I was the cinematographer and colorist on the short film We're Not Out of the Woods Yet, directed by Kyle Brunelle, that premiered at the Maine Mayhem Film Festival in 2022. During pre-production we talked a lot about  visual references for the film. We liked the look of older Coen Brothers' films as well as the teal and orange color grading of the Hulu show Fargo. To achieve that look, I shot it with vintage Nikkor photo lenses, opted for wider angle closeups, and tried to always have very measured camera movements. I also adjusted lighting to enhance the color effect.
